Staggering -- Hess Reports Two Huge Wells; One With A Small Frack; Neighboring Well With Jump In Production -- September 15, 2019

Comments for newbies:
  • it's easy to miss these because when they come off the confidential list, they are SI/NC (DUCs) and when they are completed, they are not reported in the daily activity report
  • these are huge wells; it sort of answers the critics who suggest Hess is unable to complete big wells in the Bakken (I've been part of that group, but never really said much about that; I was wrong; Hess is doing just fine, thank you)
  • if  you need more proof, see this post; I think Hess holds the all-time Bakken record, and perhaps the worldwide/global onshore IP record; I could be wrong;
  • I only checked frack data for two wells, but look at the huge well and the small amount of proppant, and few stages, #34863
  • small-to-moderate jump in production in neighboring wells that were not re-fracked
Disclaimer: I am inappropriately exuberant about the Bakken.

Note: the Bakken never ceases to amaze me.

Note: in the old days, all of these wells would have been placed on "Record IP Page" but I generally don't do that, unless it's a "real, real" record. LOL. There are just too many Bakken wells that now qualify for "record IP" based on "old" criteria.

Update Of An Earlier Note

From an earlier note, back on June 13, 2019:
Wells coming off the confidential list today -- Thursday, June 13, 2019 -- three wells coming off the confidential list? They were all SI/NC (DUCs) at the time.
So, how did they do? For the two that have since reported, I would say very, very, very well:
