Updates
Later, 8:01 p.m. CDT: after watching the third round of the Players tournament, I'm flip-flopping. I absolutely loved it. It was great watching the new players and not watching Mickelson, Sergio, or Bryson. Maybe it would be nice for all players who have been on on the circuit as long as Mickelson move on to LIV. After today, I don't miss those folks at all. I eagerly look forward to the final round tomorrow.
Original Post
PGA Players Tournament: I turned on the television at 11:10 a.m. CD and these were the first three -- Cantlay, Laird, and Rai.
No Mickelson, no Sergio, no Byson, no Dustin Johnson, no Brooks Koepka. This is like watching the Xfinity. How bad is it? The network is already showing clips of Tiger Woods from decades ago. Anything to keep viewers tuned in.
Weather in DFW area today: overcast, rain, high of 64°P. The ducks are loving it. Me? Not so much.
Temporary links:
New link added: BBC.
USAF: it has sure taken a long time, but it looks like some units of the USAF are no longer painting identifying aircraft information on the tails of their aircraft.
Not sure if this is something new, or if it's even common but social media has some examples. So, let's check. Yup. Link here. The Brits, who have only three hobbies, pets, plants, and planes, are going to be furious. LOL. Using FlightRadar24 some folks may be able to sort some of this out. But it won't be easy. I suppose Kate Middleton could photoshop some tail flashes in her spare time. She says she likes to Photoshop. LOL.
The U.S. Air Force Air Mobility Command is making a drastic change to its fleet of cargo and tanker aircraft, removing all identification markings, including tail numbers, tail flashes, unit markings and the iconic U.S. Air Force writing usually found on the fuselage. The AMC, in fact, decided to remove all the identifying information from aircraft for operational security (OPSEC) reasons, leaving the aircraft wearing a plain grey livery with a small US flag on the tail and low-visibility USAF roundels.
“We operate across the globe every day, often supporting sensitive movements of people and cargo. Understandably, we have concerns about the operational security impacts to these missions in the modern era of on-demand, real-time information,” AMC says in a statement. “Subdued paint schemes that limit identifiable information is one way we are taking a hard look at how we operate to ensure our ability to continue to deliver for America and our allies and partners around the world.”
A one-star general just got his second star for this change. Good for her.
Pop quiz of the day: name the youngest female pilot to transport aircraft in WWII. During WWII she flew more than 1,500 aircraft of 83 different types. Answer later, if I don't forget.

Remember all that talk about the dreaded decline rate in the Bakken. Just saying.
Hey, let's look at an old Bakken well. From this page.
