Most interesting are the comments to this article which attempt to "defend" EVs. Those comments fall into two groups:
- the driver / writer would not have had this problem had she driven a Tesla; and,
- the highways from Chicago to New Orleans are particularly lacking in charging stations compared to other highways ... like those, say, in North Dakota, Montana, and Wyoming.
The fact is, EVs are nowhere near ready for prime time in the US.
