Notes From All Over, Part 3 -- October 2, 2019

First things first: I see our older daughter has raisin challah bread in the house for Rosh Hashanah. 

Jobs: private payrolls rose by 135,000 in September, well above the Dow Jones estimate of 125,000 -- CNBC headline -- pace of hiring is slowing.

Recession is right around the corner.
