"We" are overwhelmed with content.
It's no longer about content.
From a contributor over at SeekingAlpha:
- New WBD CEO David Zaslav wields a mighty sword against inherited waste. But he may need to go way beyond just canceling "Bat Girl."
- WBD's core challenge: make money in a competitive battlefield already littered with bodies and spendthrift competitors.
- The content is king nostrum has outlived its validity. The delivery, cost control, and marketing systems is where the management skillset lies.
For me, every night: Perry Mason re-runs.
For some reason, the 1959 episode of "The Case Of The Watery Witness" seems very, very "old."
Faye Wray appeared in three episodes of "Perry Mason."
From wiki:
The Most Dangerous Game was followed by the release of Wray's best remembered film, King Kong. According to Wray, Jean Harlow had been RKO's original choice, but because MGM put Harlow under exclusive contract during the pre-production phase of the film, she became unavailable.
Wray was approached by director Merian C. Cooper to play the blonde captive of King Kong; the role of Ann Darrow for which she was paid $10,000 ($200,000 in 2021 dollars) to play her.
The film was a commercial success and Wray was reportedly proud that the film saved RKO from bankruptcy.
As asked in Rocky Horror Picture Show, whatever happened to Fay Wray?
