ND Legacy Fund: $350 Million in 9 Months -- The Williston Basin, North Dakota, USA

Headline only, from print edition of Williston Herald, no link: $350 million, Legacy Fund, 9 months old.

I assume it is earning no interest or dividends. It is primarily in cash if I understand the earlier reports.

  1. Hehe you remove posts pretty quickly. You must be pretty bored if you have nothing better to do but post BS then un-publish it a few moments later.

    1. They will all be re-posted.

The "blogger" application does not allow to move posts around easily (nor should it).

So, to keep things in proper order, I post them (to put them in order) and then remove the "BS" as you call it, to re-post later.

I feel very strongly that I want to keep the focus on the Bakken and I try to leave Bakken stories upfront when I know I will be gone for awhile.

I am now leaving to go swimming with my granddaughters and won't be posting for awhile. I want folks who come to my site to see Bakken stories and not "BS" as you refer to it.

When I get home this evening, I will be opening my daily present, the daily activity report, and then will be posting as fast as I can. During that process, sometime around midnight, if I haven't already done so, I will go back through the list of "draft" posts and post them.

I am particularly eager to re-post the "gift" from the president's literary agent.

By the way, while I'm gone, if you get bored with what I've posted so far today, the archives are full of great information. I'm in the process of updating Whiting's acreage/prospects by field in the Bakken and could use some help with that. If you notice errors at that post, let me know.

By the way, that post was also pulled down for awhile and placed in draft status while I worked on it.

If you get bored with that, I have a great literature blog you might enjoy. I am updating the "History of Icelandic Literature" by Einarsson if you are interested.

      Hoo-ah.

    2. Thank you for your kind words.

Yes, that individual posts comments two to three times each day. That's why I moderate comments. That's the first time I posted his/her comments.

Interesting, he/she is about the only one from whom I get such comments. That was the first time I have ever replied; I was hoping at some time he/she would comment on my method of keeping posts in order so I could explain that to all my readers.

And actually, his comments keep me going. I find myself more energized to put up the best information I can on the Bakken after I hear from him/her. I think his/her comments drive me to post one more Bakken-related post each day.

      So, we all win.

Now, back to this morning's news.

    3. In this day and age, it seems pretty arrogant to represent that one knows what is BS, and what isn't BS. Are you a journalist?
