The Director's Cut Is Out -- Daily Production For May, 2016, Increases, Month-Over-Month -- Data For May, 2016

As predicted by Rystad Energy, North Dakota's daily crude oil production, on a daily basis, increased in May, 2016, over that of the previous month, April, 2016. I track the monthly "Cuts" here.

Production
  •  May production: 1,047,364 bopd
  • April, production: 1,041,981 bopd
  • Percent increase: 1,047,364 - 1,041,981 / 1,041,981 = 0.5%. Not much, but it eked out a net gain.
Producing wells
  • May: 13,167
  • April: 13,054
ND sweet crude oil price
  • Today: $36.25/bbl
  • June: $38.75/bbl
  • May: $33.74/bbl
  • April: $30.75
Well completions
  • fell from 41 (final) in April to 37 (preliminary) in May
  • there were fourteen days in which the wind was too strong to frack
DUCs
  • estimated to be at 931, an increase of 39 since last reporting period
Inactive wells
  • estimated to be at 1,584, down 6 since last reporting period
Flaring
  • the amount of flared natural gas increased slightly to 11.5%
  • the Tioga gas plant operated at only 74% capacity; no explanation given
  • May Bakken capture rate was 90%; natural gas flared increased 40.6 million cfd
