I bought 1000 US Postal "forever" stamps a few years back. Basically I'm down to three bills per month paid via mail. If I see someone in a military fatigues who looks like they just got back from the Middle East I give them a 10 pack of these stamps.
I am very impressed. I bought a lot the first time they came out and then again the second time, but not as many as you have. I, too, am down to very few bills by mail. Everything is pretty much on-line. I had not thought about gifts of "forever" stamps for military folks but that's very, very gracious. Thank you.
By the way, with each hike in postage rates, I could be wrong, but it seems it would hit the poor the hardest, those who cannot afford on-line connectivity (computer, monthly fees, etc) or don't have the technical know-how. Pretty sad. Another regressive cost structure. Of course, small businesses probably have a huge postage bill to pay, also.
