EOG With First Permits In The Bakken So Far In Calendar Year 2021 -- May 25, 2021

These are the first EOG permits so far in calendar year 2021 in the Bakken.

One has to ask why? 

Note the chronologic numbers (in purple). We talked about this years ago during the early days of the boom. 

LR = "long reach"; longer than the standard two-section horizontal; generally three sections; although a couple may go 3.5 sections so as not to leave orphaned oil behind;

Two new permits, #38324 - #38325, inclusive:

• Field: Parshall (Mountrail)
• Comments: EOG has permits for two Liberty LR wells, both sited in NENW 23-151-91
• one will be sited 750' FNL and 2380 FWL; Liberty LR 119-2320H, 3.5-mile-lateral
  
• the other will be sited 700' FNL and 2380 ' FWL; Liberty LR 56-2317H, 3.5-mile-lateral; section line well;
