Bang, Bang -- And Just Like That, MRO Has Another Gusher -- June 21, 2021

Constitutional carry: Texas - permitless carry

Quick: is there even any other state in the union that has a similar law on the books?

Quick: what makes this video unique?

Back to the Bakken

The MRO Sherman well is on the Chauncey-Winona pad, tracked, here.

Record IPs in the Bakken are tracked here.

The Antelope-Sanish oil field is tracked here, but has not been updated in a long, long time.

MRO: we knew it was going to be big, but how many thought MRO would report a "7,000" IP? The well:

  1. From the article
"Proponents of what Republicans call “constitutional carry” argued that Texas should follow the lead of at least 20 other states with similar laws on the books..."

Constitutional carry is becoming quite the rage. And honestly, prefer that over open carry.

    1. Yes, words matter, and I'm glad they finally have this one correct.

What else bothers me? None of these articles mention that Texas is the 21st state to adopt this law. Twenty other US states already have this law on the books, including the state of Vermont, Bernie Sanders, senator.

  2. Vermont is a puzzler for sure. Heavy (D) majorities in House and Senate and yet does not even restrict non-Vermonters from carrying open or concealed. IE: Vermont issues no weapons permits.
State has no, Stand your ground statute, yet the laws governing personal defense sound a lot like SYG/Castle doctrines.

    1. Probably goes all the way back to the Revolutionary War -- a well-regulated militia to hold off the Redcoats.
