Bruce, those Cedar Hills field wells for CLR are realitivly cheap, about $ 2 Million per copy.
ReplyDeleteThey do not frac stimulate them.
The Cedar creek Anticline uplift naturally fractured the oil bearing strata. So they are 7-8 thousand ft deep and a horizontal lateral.
I agree: simply incredible. $2 million vs $10 million for a Bakken, and a nice cumulative.
DeleteI may have to do a stand-alone post on Cedar Hills.
I think folks following only the Bakken in North Dakota are missing a whole lot more that the Bakken has to offer.
In regard to 16276, BEXP, Erickson 8-17 IH -- I think that was one of the first wells BEXP drilled in that area and it had just a single frac stage. BEXP has learned a lot since then and their nearby wells 20171, Erickson 2H and 20178, Erickson 3H are both much better producers.
DeleteAbsolutely correct.
DeleteI can't wait to see the 2014/2015 cumulative data. I think it's going to be quite remarkable. Yes, operators/fracking companies have learned a lot in just a few years. The various operators in the Bakken all brought something special to the table: BEXP will be credited for pushing max fracking stages.
