At that time, I was interested in seeing what would happen to wells #16804 and #16803 when Hess fracked the BL-Davidson wells. The BL-Davidson wells have been fracked. It looks like there was not much effect on #16803, and maybe minimal effect on #16804. Note the different targets in the various wells below: middle Bakken vs Devonian. According to the file report, the "Devonian pool" wells were targeting the Three Forks formation.
It's hard to tell, but it appears the middle Bakken well, #31354, was 0.18 miles (950 feet) from #18604, and 0.39 miles (2,059 feet) from #18603. To repeat, it looks like there was not much, if any effect between two middle Bakken wells 2,059 feet from each other; and some (very little) effect on a middle Bakken well 950 feet away.
I'm not going to re-do the graphic at this time (maybe later), so go back to the linked post to see the original graphic.

Comment: in a long note like this there will be typographical and factual errors. I may be seeing things that do not exist and/or interpreting things incorrectly. If this information is important to you, go to the source. This is a very, very nice case study from my point of view. I am always looking for evidence of halo effect of neighboring wells that are fracked. I have opined from the very, very beginning of the blog, that I thought fracking was effective out to about 500 feet (radius). That's an important data point (regardless of the actual number) because it effects infill / density spacing. With "no" effect on a well 2,000 feet away and minimal effect on a well 900 feet away, it suggests that my original assertion that fracking is effective about 500 feet out appears good enough for me. Whether others agree or not, time will tell. But I'm sticking to a radius of 500 feet within the same formation. A separate issue has to do with communication between the middle Bakken and the Three Forks, but I'm not going to comment on that issue in this post.
