That’s Keystone XL pipeline laid out along Highway 12. TransCanada has been stockpiling pipeline at Gascoyne and other sites up and down the Great Plains since last fall, before TransCanada had federal permission to build the Keystone XL. The federal government rejected TransCanada’s flawed Keystone XL application in January, yet TransCanada continues to move steel into position on American soil.Great photos. Clanton takes a wild guess and says the site appears to be 50 to 60 acres. He shared a beer with locals who say they’ve heard TransCanada plans to stockpile around 300 miles worth of pipeline at the depot. As is shown in the third picture, the pipes are kept in place by laying them across four low, parallel dirt berms.
The Madville Times idntifies itself as "real liberal media for the great state of South Dakota."
Try ordering a couple thousand miles of pipe for delivery next Tuesday. Doesn't work. Big lead time. Tens of thousands of rail cars to deliver it? Tough to manage the spigot.
ReplyDeleteThose who think that approval is waiting until after the election may be right. Maybe a wink and nod.

I don't feel like I have a "dog in this fight." Not entirely correct, as folks have told me, but I honestly don't feel the Keystone XL will affect me at all in any way. Having said that, I truly hope it's approved. It's a no-brainer, and I hate to think that any administration is so stubborn on any issue on purely ideological grounds.
