- well summary
- drilling days: 13.35
- KOP: 9,307'
- EOC: 10,240' (end of curve)
- TD: 30,026 = 5.857 miles
- lateral: 30,026 - 10,240 = 19,786 = 3.747 miles
- target: Middle Bakken
- vertical: less than 12 hours; accomplished overnight, June 22 - 23, 2025
- curve
- began at 1500 hours CDT, June 23, 2025
- landed at 10,240' MD / 9,642.01' TVD, at 0457 hrs CDT on June 24 (about 14 hours)
- lateral
- began at 1521 hrs CDT June 25, 2025
- entered the Lower Bakken; pulled back to trough for sidetrack
- broken driveshaft; drilling resumed at 1345 hours on June 27, 2025
- pressure loss; inspected BHA; drilling resumed
- continued drilling in C facies until TD, reached MD of 30,926' at 0030 CT on July 3, 2025
- so,
- began lateral afternoon of June 25; TD reached July 3, 2025, at midnight; about seven days of drilling of the 13.35 days from spud was for the lateral (needs to be fact-checked; I round numbers; often get things wrong)
- 97% in zone -- incredible considering the length of this well; truly amazing;
- awaiting completion.
This simply blows me away. Thirteen days from spud to TD with a couple days lost due to typical problems encountered while drilling; lateral was almost four miles along; total amount of pipe: almost six miles of pipe.
