Inflation:
- December, PPI numbers out:
- inflation numbers slightly better than expected:
- November, PPI, also revised; better number
- Dow moved up nicely when numbers released; but then fell into the red very quickly; then back to where were, green, Dow up 53 points;
- December retail sales came in almost as expected; forecast down 1%; actual, 1.1%
