Minimal Blogging Today --- But This Is Worth Posting -- Active Rigs Jump To 193
Down to 179 not too many weeks ago, fluctuating around 185 for the past several weeks: now, all of a sudden the number of active rigs has jumped to 193.
I think of the comments recently made by the CEO of Crescent Point Energy.
You have mentioned this before. But I wonder how much of the 10-15 rig fluctuation that seems common is just movement back and forth across the Mt/ND line.
I don't follow Montana that closely, but what little I have seen, activity in Montana is increasing. I could imagine one or two rigs back and forth, but I don't think there's enough rigs in Montana to account for fluctuation of 10 - 15.
No, I think the number of active rigs is increasing a lot faster than just movement across the Montana state line and the Canadian border.
The active rig count has gone up another 1 this morning and is now 194.
