Right answer! Hearkening unto the Biblical admonition that "Many are called but few are chosen", the Chosen Few who actually served until retirement (what, under 0.6% of the nation's population?) truly deserve this modest recognition for the sacrifice they made for the rest of us. Thus sayeth the old guy~
ReplyDeleteAgree 1000%. Most interesting: it was my experience no one in the military paid much attention to their pay. It was really quite strange -- so focused on the mission, it seemed.
