ReplyDeleteYes, two miles down (vertically); they they turn, and go horizontally another two miles. Extended long reach horizontals go about three miles in the Bakken (rare, but exist).
DeleteThe precision is amazing: measuring the distance to the nearest inch or thereabouts, and measuring drilling hours to the nearest tenth of an hours (or six minutes).
