The U.S. has tumbled further down a global ranking of the world's most competitive economies, landing at fifth place because of its huge deficits and declining public faith in government, a global economic group said Wednesday.Something tells me this won't be discussed on "Hardball" (MSNBC) tonight.
The announcement by the World Economic Forum was the latest bad news for the Obama administration, which has been struggling to boost the sinking U.S. economy and lower an unemployment rate of more than 9 percent.
We're still ahead of China.
I wonder if the decline in US competitiveness can be correlated with the failure of the US justice system.

Probably won't see that on Hardball either.
I, personally, would be very careful going down that road. The linked article highlighted "access to the court."
ReplyDelete"Access to the court" won't solve the problem if judges don't follow "rule of law," contracts, etc.
The whole issue is way beyond my knowledge, or even the scope of the blog.
