NDIC is reporting 66 active rigs, a jump from the previous 62 a couple of days ago. A reader went through the data and suggests there may be an error -- some accidental "double-counting" of a couple of rigs.

Baker Hughes data showed 4 Bakken rigs active in Montana last week, the most activity in the state since February 2015...
ReplyDeleteThank you. I did not know that; I don't follow Montana but I can envision the Montana rigs. My day and I often drove southwest of Williston into Montana, in the river valley where they farmed sugar beets and where the Bakken began back in 2000. That's where I really saw the first rigs in the Bakken boom.
