Do you know why Magic Maps isn't working? Have they gone out of business? NDRC's maps aren't very current, they seem to lag pretty significantly on identifying confidential wells and separately, Google Map doesn't appear to be very uptodate....12-149N-100W had a well pad in place in Mar/Apr time frame and starting drilling...but it doesn't show any disturbance to the area. Is there a more uptodate satellite view or is Googles the best....just irregularly updated? ....

ReplyDeleteAs always...thanks!
Yes, I agree MagicMaps was clearly the best and the individual had plans to include Montana; my understanding is that it is down indefinitely.
DeleteSatellite views are updated only if/when the satellite passes over the geographic area in question and that is done, as you noted, very irregularly.
I am not aware of any other sources than the ones I have posted, including ESER which I haven't checked in a long, long time.
