Four (4) New Permits -- Bakken, North Dakota, USA

Operators: Anschutz (2), Newfield, and Zenergy

Fields: St Anthony, Murphy Creek, Sivertson, and a wildcat.

The Newfield wildcat will be in Williams County about twelve miles north-northeast of Williston.

In the daily activity report (April 15, 2011), SM reports a nice well:
  • 18579, 2,006, SM, Jorgenson 1-30H, McKenzie County, Bakken
The rest of the report was unremarkable.

    My father in law recently received offers for the ardmore basin in oklahoma which is a woodford play between two uplifts near the texas border in Marshall county. What little information I have found has shown a percentage of the acreage to be oil rich in addition to gas. Maybe this is the play mentioned.

    This comment probably refers to the discussion regarding Chesapeake's "soon-to-be-announced" deal involving 1,000,000 net acres described as a liquids play with global interest.
