NEXUS Natural Gas Pipeline: US To Canada
NEXUS Natural Gas Pipeline: US To Canada
Exporting natural gas to Canada: regular readers already know all about this, thanks to all the great posts by RBN Energy. But for those who may have missed the story, Richard Zeits, over at SeekingAlpha has posted a story about the subject. From the article:
Direct natural gas exports from the U.S. Northeast to Eastern Canada are likely to rise significantly in the near future as pipeline operators are actively working on transportation solutions for the Marcellus (and very soon also the Utica) volumes that are expected to continue to ramp up. Spectra Energy's proposed 1+ Bcf/d NEXUS Gas Transmission pipeline, which would connect the Marcellus and Utica with Ontario and has a projected in-service date of November 2016, is just one of several examples of potential new gas export projects currently under consideration or in development.Tectonic changes are taking place in the oil and gas industry, and I'm not sure many Americans are really aware of the changes.
The CLR Jim Creek wells in 5/145/96 appear to have 3 mile long laterals.Check out case #18674 which comes up when you log on the GIS map then click on the 1920 acre spacing units under the bakken oil and gas layers.
ReplyDeleteYou are correct.
DeleteIt appears you are looking at:
21833, conf, CLR, Micahlucas 2-5H, Jim Creek.
It is on a stand-up 3-section, 1920-acre spacing unit (stand-up; three sections running north to south). My hunch is that this particular well (#21833) will be a typical long lateral, just going through sections 5 and 32, unless you have information from CLR that is different. Sections 5/32 is also a 1280-acre spacing unit.
