3rd round scores falling as fast as Bidens approval
ReplyDeleteI caught some of the tournament early on this morning, but then had errands to run with Sophia. I enjoyed watching a few holes, but the tournament lost a bit of excitement without Tiger Woods, Phil, and a few others. I did note that NBC was showing a bit more of Dustin Johnson, perhaps in contention, but dropping down.
DeleteIf that's correct, that NBC is showing a bit more of Dustin Johnson, it suggests that NBC is hearing from viewers that they would like to see all the golfers, including the LIV golfers. I don't know. But I was quite disappointed that NBC sports would go in this direction.
I suspect the descending order of priority for groups that nbc listens to and is influenced by is something like the following.
ReplyDelete1.Advertisers
2.PGA leadership/membership
(Which is anti liv to say the least)
A (very) distant third is viewership.
Advertisers and viewership go hand in hand. At an extreme. if every golf fan quit watching the PGA, advertisers would quit advertising.
