The big question: how is Medora doing?
Daily deaths, link here.
This does not mean all "29" died yesterday. This was the number of deaths associated with Covid-19 that were reported yesterday. Big difference.
North Dakotans honest to a fault. You always state NDIC is the best in nation with regards to veracity of oil production data. Likely same with ND dept of health. We test a lot and much more than most of the country. We are finally #1 in something. I’ll judge the management of COVID-19 in ND in the year 2022.
ReplyDeleteBack of envelope calculations: ND has 0.23% (750000/330000000) of the US population. We have 0.25% of the US deaths due to and or associated with COVID. Remarkably similar despite the brutal honesty of NDDOH with regards to the accounting of COVID-19.
ReplyDeleteI was blown away by the numbers. Three hundred thousand people apparently tested and the population is about 800,000. That's amazing. Of course, if this was testing for active disease, it's only a "snapshot in time."
ReplyDeleteWith regard to "back of envelope calculations." I'm not alarmed at all by the numbers; totally expected if you do a lot of testing and are honest with the reporting. Easy for Johns Hopkins to report the numbers, reproduce a graph. The tough part is explaining what it all means, whether it's even significant or not.
