If you want to see why our recent checks were so low, here are the oil prices for Bakken oil as reported by the State of North Dakota -- these numbers came out today:
- today: $33
- July: $31.75
- June: $32.35
- May: $7.92 -- no typographical error.
The following link will show you Indian Oil Index base price - the minimum allowed payment to Native American allottees. This is the average price paid by all upstream companies in any given oil field involving trust land. South Fort Berthold (south of the Missouri River) May price was $24.67. June and July are about the same as above. We also receive fee land payments and May was $16.22 from Marathon.
