Regular readers know the history of Whiting's Tarpon Federal wells. I
track them here. In the process of looking something up for a reader, I came across the production numbers of the five Tarpon Federal wells that are still on the confidential list but have been completed and producing oil. Here they are:
- 28496, drl->conf, Tarpon Federal 24-20-3RTF, Sand Creek, sundry form says "Middle Bakken, NOS;

It is possible the low production in January, 2015, for these wells is due to the reason cited
at this post. These wells come off the confidential list in mid-June / late July, but I expect we will see them come off sooner, in the "producing wells completed" segment of the daily activity report.
Reminder: this is a random update; I continue to track and update these wells at the link above.
Could also be some of interference test, or a way for them to measure the effectiveness of the frac on the new offset wells they are finishing up
ReplyDeleteYes, absolutely. I think there is a lot yet to learn about the Bakken -- especially with all the multi-well pads.
