Murphy Creek is turning out to be a good field. But Murphy Field is one of the biggest fields in the Williston Basin. It is the north half that is the better half, and this Encore well is in the north half of the field.
They are finally starting to do more mega stage frac in the field. I think the lower production areas are more completion related then over all potential.
ReplyDeleteI agree completely. I've been going back through some production numbers and it is quite incredible how good some of these wells are.
ReplyDeleteLater this summer, after we've had a good full two years from 2009 when multi-stage fracking became the norm, I hope to find time and publish some production numbers of wells producing for a full two years.
Ours is coming off on Monday and is better than that one according to the new feb report done by denbury today.
ReplyDelete... and down the road, producers will go back in and re-frack some of the older wells. My understanding is that they are doing that in Elm Coulee, Montana.
