At least NE has power continuously unlike Texas last winter being dark for days and spot power prices in the thousands of dollars per MWH.
This happens fairly regularly at 4:00 a.m. to 5:00 every weekday at ISO NE.
The Texas "Deep Freeze" story, as predicted, was off the the front page news within two weeks. From my perspective, the Texas "Deep Freeze" was a huge wake-up call. We'll see how this winter goes.
But check ISO NE every weekday morning between 4:00 and 6:00 a.m.
But the bigger story is that NE has now re-set its basic rate history.
