My condolences to those who were charging their Teslas overnight.

  1. looks like some sort of a power routing problem or equipment failure, looking at the short term nature of this cost spike. Power back down to about $60/MWH now. Remember that nuclear generation is down by ~2000MW.

At least NE has power continuously unlike Texas last winter being dark for days and spot power prices in the thousands of dollars per MWH.

    1. This happens fairly regularly at 4:00 a.m. to 5:00 every weekday at ISO NE.

The Texas "Deep Freeze" story, as predicted, was off the the front page news within two weeks. From my perspective, the Texas "Deep Freeze" was a huge wake-up call. We'll see how this winter goes.

But check ISO NE every weekday morning between 4:00 and 6:00 a.m.

But the bigger story is that NE has now re-set its basic rate history.

Anyway, enough of this. My weekend has begun and I'm listening to Jerry Jeff Walker, Todd Snider, el al.

      Have a great weekend.
