the same thing happened to diesel fuel demand...there was a similar drop in the week after Christmas, and after prior holidays...it probably reflects unwinding of excessive holiday demand expectations by wholesalers and retailers; ie, they didn't sell as much as they expected, so they didn't need to restock as much..
Agree. Others have said the same thing, but regardless, that is still quite a drop. It certainly doesn't seem to reflect all the summer travel that's been reported.
