I think the real problem is that paddle fishermen practice "combat fishing" and tend to stand cheek to jowl... All this to snag (not really fishing) a prehistoric critter. "Try fishing for Steelhead"!
Yes, I know. I was being facetious. LOL. But I'm sure there are some folks, when they say the headline, the first thought was that there really was a concern that paddlefish might carry the disease.
