More Lodging To Break Ground --- Radisson Hotel, Country Inn and Suites; Update on Crowne Point Lodge

Minnesota-based Complete Hospitality Management, link here:
  • working with Granite Peak Development to build a 160-room Radisson Hotel at Sand Creek Town Centre
  • working with Granite Peak Development to build a 240-room Country Inn and Suites at the Bakken Industrial Park; will include a restaurant specializing in buffalo wings
  • partnering with Annabelle Homes in Tioga to manage the 240-room Crowne Point Lodge and Suites; Annabelle will break ground June 1; 38 rooms will be left open for tourists;
  • considering locations at 13-mile corner north of Williston and in Ray
Lodging investments are being paid off in about 32 months instead of the industry norm of six to 15 years.

  1. Another Minnesota business that is doing business in North Dakota where the opportunity is. Like Dean Devos of Anabelle Homes they see how impossible it is to do business in Minnesota's very negitive business climate.

    I love that both bring out North Dakota's pro business climate. Will Minnesota learn? Nay

    1. Yes, I saw that, also: "pro-business climate." People just want to get things done.

      I am in regular contact with a developer in Minot; hard to get things done simply because so much activity but at least everyone is moving in the same direction, trying to get things done.

  2. Radisson in Williston? Room rates will probably be $300+ /night.

    Who would have thought a Williston Radisson possible a few years ago?

  3. I don't know about the price, but I had the same thought -- hard to believe a Radisson in Williston.

  4. When I last drove by the 13mile, there was a sign up saying "coming soon" Truck Stop, industrial park and retail. It is rumored that area is going to turn into another Bakken Industrial park with truck stop, hotels, restaurants and warehouses. It is a very good location since it is at the crossroads where 2&85 part way to the north and east. AND far enough out of Williston that we don't have to see another huge industrial park in our backyard. lol

    1. That is very, very interesting. That is even farther out than where the new Truck Reliever Route will transect US Highway 85 north of Williston. The 13-mile corner is right in the heart of some nice CLR and Oasis wells, if I remember correctly.

  5. I see Williston is once again posed to beat or break last years building permits. According to the city of Williston building dept. site, The city has issued twice the $$$ amount in building permits/projects compared to last year. So far as of May 31st, close to $120 million...last year at this time they had close to $60 million. I think Williston will definately hit the $400 million mark this year!

    1. Thank you for taking time to comment. Since some folks may not read comments, I have added this as a stand-alone post.

      Absolutely incredible.
