Gasoline, unleaded, at the corner service station on the way to school here in San Antonio:
- Tuesday evening, February 22, 2010: $2.89
- Wednesday morning, February 23, 2010: $2.99
- Wednesday evening, February 23, 2010: $3.09
- Thursday evening, February 24, 2010: $3.19
Gee, I'm torn about this... great for those getting the oil payments in one way or another (yeah!), but I still end up paying out the same as everyone else at the gas pump (yikes!). I suppose the best we can hope for is a level of stability.
ReplyDeleteI agree completely. My heart goes out to those who are living on the margin, and I think it's a lot more than we realize.
ReplyDeleteI agree with one "talking head" who said that the price of gasoline is the one thing that hits almost all Americans on a daily basis. Even if they are not filling up that day, they are reminded every time they pass a gas station how expensive gasoline has become. It can be very, very demoralizing.
I do not understand how Washington could let this play out year after year after year, since 1973. It's not as if there aren't solutions.
