How do you get daily permits before NDIC post them on NDIC web site. IT is 3:11 pst now and no daily activity report yet, but u show 5:16PM
ReplyDeletepost with 17 new permits with a date from u of 12/9/2014
.. and the daily report just came out... and I was spot on. I wish I could say I had a mole in the NDIC, but I don't.
DeleteIt was a trick I learned many months ago when the daily activity report was not posted on time (delayed over a weekend, I believe). Then it dawned on me: the NDIC would post the scout tickets throughout the day as the permits were approved (or maybe it's done as a batch) and it's probably done automatically by a computer. But however, it's done:
Late in the day, even before the daily activity report is posted, as early as 4:00 p.m., I start running through the scout tickets (available with a "Basic Subscription"), starting with the last permit number of the previous day.
I had to resort to this for two reasons:
-- sometime the daily activity report is delayed (sometimes to the next day); and,
-- if I had a really busy evening scheduled, this would move things along more quickly.
Very cool, I am the amateur you are the pro , Thanks
DeleteYeah, right. It only took me five (5) years to figure it out, and I live and breathe this stuff, and it still took me five years. LOL. Hardly a "pro." But I do love it, and I certainly enjoy having answers for readers, which doesn't occur very often.
DeleteThank you for writing, and for noticing.
