We just can't drill our way to lower prices -- we also have to build pipelines. Gasoline is approaching $5.00/gallon out in California (or so I'm told by my brother-in-law) --

Another Doofus
In midst of greatest measles outbreak in two decades, Buttigieg says he supports vaccine exemptions based on personal beliefs.
As someone noted, apparently science is not one of the 29 languages Buttigieg knows.
And, yes, he will try to walk back that comment.
Driving from Tucson to Portland on Sunday, in California I paid Shell $4.75/gallon premium. Five minutes later my cell phone rang. It was Citicorp credit card fraud division calling to ask if I really made this purchase. Even they know it is too darned high!
ReplyDeleteWow, that is amazing. I'm starting to hear other rumbling from California and driving season is not yet here. Wait until all those folks from out-of-state visit Disneyland this summer.
DeleteIn all fairness, on Monday I paid $4.17 for premium at the Sacremento Costco. Fraud alert was justified!
ReplyDelete$4.17 at Costco! Wow, no wonder my brother-in-law is complaining. That's where he gets his gas (Huntington Beach-area Costco).
DeleteThe "thing" folks don't realize is that unnecessarily high-priced gasoline is perhaps the unfairest regressive tax in the world. And there's no excuse for such high-priced gasoline in California.
Not to mention the sticker shock when all those tourist get to Anaheim. Disney has jacked their prices again and eliminated the Cal residence seasonal passes.
ReplyDeleteThere is so much money in southern California and countless hundreds of thousands of elites. The price of Disneyland bothers them not. But the average midwestern family with two or three kids -- I don't know how they afford it. The advertised costs, the upfront costs, are just the beginning.
