Connect The Dots

Maybe I will expand on this later, but getting ready for the Daytona 500, so more blogging will have to wait.

However, you might all have fun connecting the dots between these two links.

The first link: Mike Filloon's analysis of the Mississippi Lime -- the wells are getting better.

The second link: Acorn Energy's presentation at Enercom.

It goes without saying that once you connect the dots, you will agree that what is happening in the Mississippi Lime will hold true for the Bakken. (Actually, it's already been proven true over the past few years.)

  1. The Acorn presentation really demonstrates how important the no re-fracking issue we have been talking about is. Just look at slide ten of the presentation.

    1. Yes, you are looking at these Acorn statistics:
-- 20% of frack stages produce 80% of the recovered oil and gas
-- 50% of frack stages produce zero
It was interesting to note the reason why "frack jobs" do not meet performance expectations (slide 12):
-- failure to understand subsurface (73%)
-- poor frack design, down hole tools, human error/inexperience, surface equipment (each less than 20%).

Reasons add up to more than 100% because more than one reason for not meeting expectations in some cases.

  2. I am going to do my best to get some clarification on this fracking issue.

That sentence was not meant to be funny but it kind of is.
