Great accomplishment. Congratulations. I've had 3 websites for many years and I get very few hits so 10 million is wild.
The number of hits waxes and wanes. When the Bakken is "hot" (usually means price of oil is "high") the number of hits increase significantly but right now things are fairly quiet. Regardless, I've learned a lot, especially from my readers.
Read your blog most every morning. If not I catch up.. Great stuff, interesting as a Farm boy North of Williston (67). Do you Twitter. Been known to cut an paste your stuff to facebook. thanks
Thank you for your kind comments. I do twitter. I only follow a few oil-related news sites. I tweet rarely, usually once a day, linking my blog when daily activity report released.
that's an undercount because it doesn't include those who read your feed, or subscribe to your posts on a feedreader, like i do...the only time i'm counted is when i click through to make a comment...so you probably hit 10 million 'reads' years ago..
Very, very interesting. I didn't think about that. I do know that there are one or two sites that literally take all my posts and simply transfer them to their sites. But that is interesting about other folks coming across the blog. Thank you.
you also have a little button down your sidebar that says "subscribe to posts" those subscribers are reading your posts on another platform such as "my yahoo" and aren't counted as pageviews here either
Thank you. I never knew "how" that little button worked. I was aware of it, but I never clicked on it because I didn't want to subscribe to my own site. Interesting.
