    1. It looks like on that last map, that there is one mile out in the lake that is not drilled from either side... ?

      1. In this area, Slawson from the west, and EOG from the east, will "cover" all sections under the river/lake.

In this particular case, the new EOG permits (#38329 - #38331) will site in section 26 and the lateral will extend all the way to section 29, picking up that last half mile or so.

North of that, the EOG wells (#38326 - #38328) will site in section 23, and the lateral will extend all the way to section 20, picking up that last half mile or so.

Bottom line, all sections under the river/lake will eventually by tapped.

      2. For newbies, "LR" in EOG's Liberty LR wells stands for "long reach." The standard length of laterals in the Bakken is "two miles or two sections." In areas under the river/lake, EOG is drilling "LR" (long range) laterals which will go out 2.5 to 3.5 miles (2.5 sections / 3.5 sections) to capture that oil farthest out.

      1. In this particular area, one-half mile: the oil field boundary runs down the middle of these two sections (#20 and #29) -- thus cutting that section in half and ending the drilling / spacing unit there.
