Re-Entry -- Initial Production Extrapolates To 117K BBls Over 30 Days -- BR -- #17309 -- Washburn, Charlson -- March 7, 2026

The well: 

  • 17309, AL/TA/270, BR, Washburn 44-36H, Charlson, t7/08; re-entered, 4/25; cum 266K 1/26; first month after re-entering: 23K.
    • offline for five years; in 2020 down to <400 bbls / month;
    • back in production 4/25; 23,371 bbls over 6 days extrapolates to an astounding 116,855 bbls crude oil over 30 days; 
      • originally drilled back in 2008; 
      • re-entry process started on August 23, 2024; 
      • after reaching the total depth of the original hole, the planned extension of the well began drilling at 1415 hrs CT August 27, 2024. 
      • the extension was drilled to TD of 20,496' MD on August 28, 2024. 
    • the rig was then walked to the next well on the pad (most likely #40566; the third well on this 3-well pad was #40567).

March 15, 2025: from the well file it appears this well was re-entered / one-stage stimulation around August, 2023, to enter / re-enter the Stonewall. 

  • 6900, Madison (t9/79; cum 12,028 bbls), Stonewall (9/19; cum 1,992 bbls), Red River (4/83; cum 130K); Stearns Oil Company, Harold Haugen 25-1, Daneville oil field; last production from Red River, 9/19; last production from the Madison, 1983; current production from the Stonewall.
