  1. They are in talks for the deep rights of the bakken and 3 forks.

It's under all their land 290,000 acres

  2. Just found this on their website re the Bakken and 3 forks. It's on the latest trading. Looks like this company has been hidden due to the Iodina link

Iofina Natural Gas will be exhibiting the Group's acreage position in Northern Montana at the NAPE Expo, the world's largest E&P (upstream) expo, from 17 - 19 August 2011. Our objective is to obtain a partner interested in pursuing the deeper oil shale plays (Bakken and Three Forks) while Iofina retains the shallow rights (Eagle and Virgelle) which make up the Atlantis field - a concept often found in the Oil & Gas industry. The Board believes that, given the large contiguous acreage position of in excess of 200,000 acres, and comprehensive data, it will attract a prospective partner enabling a further monetization of its own Atlantis acreage.

    1. Four data points as I start to sort this out:

      1. Iofina is a natural gas company

      2. Iofina has patented technology to extract iodine from the water it brings up with drilling

      3. Iofina's "Bakken" acreage is in the Alberta Bakken, west of the Williston Basin Bakken -- this is NOT about the Williston Basin Bakken which this blog covers

      4. Iofina is looking to move into oil but there is not much there on its website yet

  4. As you now know Bruce, the CEO confirms interest with some drilling in the locality. Rumour is a lot of Oil is there.

looks like Montana will be the next 'man camp' area.
