Sam Stovall on CNBC had to go all the way back to 1997 to compares today's Fed action with the past. 1997. Name? Cardinal Health.

Intel: up $13 today. No profit yet. No p/e. Market cap: trending toward $1 trillion. If that's where INTC is, imagine what else is happening. INTC rounds close to $1 trillion than $0 trillion. Just saying.  Intel (INTC) trades at a current forward 12-month P/E ratio of approximately 56.5x to 57x, though estimates vary between 51x and 69x.

Pool duties: if President Trump is serious about banning certain media outlets, the president might be better off going after a re-look at the security investigations of individual reporters, rather than banning a network outright. I had an incredibly high security clearance during the last ten years of service in the USAF. I'm not sure those clearances would have been enough to get into the White House or onto Air Force One. And he could make all such security clearances reviewable annually.

Texas rotisserie chicken: under $5.00 at HEB.

It was either $4.94 or $4.96 for a nice-size rotisserie chicken. I forget. And not only that, best seasoned and incredibly moist, because these HEB rotisserie chickens don't sit in the warmer all day long. When did Costco introduce sub-$5-rotisserie? 1994 -- that 32 years ago. I was living in a different world, far away and long ago!

They say September is a bad month for investors. Okay.
