Reminiscing
I was stationed at Bitburg Air Base, Germany, 1983 - 1986, and then again, 1989 - 1992. Both times, my primary a/c was the F-15. In the video below, at the 4:37 mark Greg Clausen enters the picture. I flew with him many, many times. I vividly recall the three-hour night refueling sortie when we flew to an altitude of nearly 50,000 feet. Incredibly eerie.
Between those two tours at Bitburg Air Base, we were stationed at RAF Lakenheath, England, 1989 - 1992, where my primary a/c was the F-111D. Coincidentally the video linked here was filmed in 1992.
The video linked here was filmed in 1990 while we were stationed RAF Lakenheath. The plane involved was assigned to the 492nd Fighter Squadron. That was the squadron to which I was assigned at the time. Link here also.
