Twelve new permits, #37061 - #37070, inclusive.
  • Operators: Hess (7); WPX (4); Wave Petroleum Operating, LLC
  • Fields: Alkali Creek (Mountrail County); South Forks (Dunn County); Wildcat (Billings County)
  • Comments:
    • Hess has permits for a seven-well EN-Labar pad in section 15-154-94, Alkali Creek oil field;
    • WPX has permits for a four-well Wolvering pad in section 20-148-93, South Fork oil field;
    • Wave Petroleum Operating, LLC has a permit for a wildcat in NESE 32-138-100; the wildcat is in the far southwest corner of the state, in Billings County; it is 7.3 miles to the northwest of the new Lourdes well that currently has a rig on site; the Wave Petroleum well, Hudson 1-32 is about 20 miles southwest of South Heart, the latter is west of Dickinson; and east of Belfield; the older wells in this area are generally Madison wells; the Lourdes well is a re-entry well targeting the Tyler/Heath, I believe; this is the very first permit for this company in North Dakota; link here;
One permit renewed:
  • Oasis: a Fraser Federal permit in Williams County
