Nineteen Permits Renewed; Fifty-NIne Active Rigs In North Dakota -- September 30, 2019

WTI: drops almost 3%; falls $1.63/bbl; and is now trading below $55; less than two weeks after "the largest single disruption of oil production in history," -- Daniel Yergin.

  • Operators: PetroShale (2): XTO
  • Fields: Mandaree (Dunn County); Haystack Butte (McKenzie)
  • Comments:
    • PetroShale has two Horse Camp permits in section 11-149-93, Mandaree oil field
    • XTO has a permit for an Edwards Trust Federal well in Haystack Butte, section 19-149-97;
Nineteen permits renewed:
  • QEP (8): five MHA permits in Dunn County and three Moberg permits in McKenzie County
  • Bruin (6): six FB (Fort Berthold) Clinton permits, all in Dunn County
  • Crescent Point Energy (5): two Njos permits; one Lloyd permit, one Elena permit, and one Keither permit, all in Williams County;
