Vern Whitten Photography

Vern Whitten photography, late summer, 2013, oil patch.

Vern Whitten photography, late summer, 2013, scenery: incredible photography of western North Dakota. These photos are from Bismarck, near the center (south) of the state, west to Dickinson, towards the western end of the state (south), and up to Williston, and New Town.  This set of slides show just how immense the state is; how thinly settled; how beautiful. The oil patch North Dakota takes up a very small percentage of the entire state.

And this is Devils Lake, northeastern North Dakota, nowhere near the oil patch.

A huge "thank you" to the reader who sent me these photos. I received them about a week ago, but was delayed in getting them posted. My bad. Sorry.

Enjoy.
