Oil Pricing -- New Link Added -- California Spot

At my "Data Links" page I have a number of links to prices for various domestic crude oils.

Today, I have added another link: the spot price for California oil: Buena Vista Hills and Midway Sunset. California crude oil is priced at a $10+ premium to WTI. Looking at the prices today, they are quite remarkable, at least compared to the Bakken: Chevron crude oil marketing.

  1. CA trades with Alaska North Slope. It mostly uses that and foreign imports, plus local. Bakken etc. is starting to come in.

    1. I completely missed that. Wow, it's amazing all the stuff I miss, even when I've posted it earlier (in this case, there are earlier posts that Bakken oil is reaching / will reach California. So, thank you -- a "legitimate" reason to add California spot prices to a Bakken blog. Smile. Thank you.
