Daily Activity Report, Wednesday; BEXP WIth Three (3) Huge Wells (IPs); OXY USA Reports Another Well

One of the Oasis permits is for a salt water disposal well in Baker oil field, McKenzie; and Whiting has a permit for a wildcat in McKenzie County

There were seven (7) wells released from the confidential list:

  1. No telling what BEXP would go for now if they weren't bought by STO. Looking back STO is going to think they got one heck of a buy if they don't already.

    1. My dad always told me in business you can't look back (but you can from studying the past), but I have to agree: QEP / Helis really raised the bar. Many story lines there.

  2. Curious about the Todd field in general, as we have interest in a pool and I don't see it in your sidebar ...and specifically, if you can shed any light on Borsheim #3 (155-101 sections 28/33)

    1. According to the NDIC site, this well is on DRL status.

      The well file is available for review. They spud this well on November 24 and reached total measured depth (around 20,000 feet) on December 10 -- is that about 16 days?

      The gas units at depth were very low and the crew checked their instruments several times to make sure they were correct, but gas units remained low. However, there was a 20 - 25 foot flare at one point, and a pretty constant 1-5 foot flare.

      So, hard to say. It will all depend on the completion, I suppose.
