Peak Oil? What Peak Oil? -- Yes, I Know the Story Is About Natural Gas But One Gets the Point

Link here. From Rigzone:
For now, state geologists are finished with their research in central North Carolina.

After studying 59,000 acres in the Deep River basin for 15 years, they have concluded that Lee, Chatham and Moore counties could produce enough natural gas from shale to make North Carolina self-sufficient for 40 years at current levels of consumption.

"That's what we think," said Kenneth Taylor, chief of the N.C. Geological Survey. "We could become a net exporter."

  1. it is PAST time to start on coversion of ALL public ( fed., state, county ,local and Postal trucks and vechiles to run on LNG..)
you make the county seat town have a credit card LNG pump and then the school district can use this motor fuel in school busses, .In rural area;s the county seat is the locale for all the goverment office seats, and goverment business..
the Plumbing and NG codes are well know and have been used Safetly for a century.. The NG product is AMERICAN product, or we can let a public company ( LNG) ticker Cheniere build and EXPORT to China all of our Natural Gas..

  2. I agree 100%. I have posted several times, all levels of government need to get on board. States like Minnesota have no problem saying "no" to cheap energy like coal, but have trouble saying "yes" to cheap energy like natural gas.
