Coolest Summer in Decades in Southern California -- Nothing To Do With The Bakken

I was just out in southern California, and we all remarked how cool it was.

It's now being reported as one of the coolest summers on record; fruits and vegetables failing to ripen.

I can't make this stff up.

(Yes, I know this has nothing to do with the Bakken.....except, expect wheat prices for farmers in the Williston area to go up also this summer ... Yes, I know it's a stretch.)

    My Weather Report retort.
Summer in N. CA has been very cool in my region...35 miles due East of San Francisco, in the heart of Contra Costa County. My Heirloom tomatoes (I have 30 plants, and a few hundred green tomatoes)have only now begun to ripen since the last week of July...last year I picked my first tomatoes June 3rd.
Lots of foggy nights below 60ยบ too.
